Yampa River Ambassadors
The Yampa River Ambassador program is a partnership between the City of Steamboat Springs and Friends of the Yampa to provide in-person river recreation outreach. The ambassador program interacts with thousands of local and visiting river users at popular put-ins and take-outs throughout Steamboat Springs with emphasis on peak tubing season in the summer. Ambassadors help promote safe and respectful recreation on the Yampa through education on the river and off.
We need your help!
Volunteers are expected to assist paid Yampa River Ambassadors in engaging with Yampa River users from put-ins, take-outs, along the Yampa River Core Trail, and on the river we possible. We ask that volunteers bring layers, water, sunscreen, snacks, and anything else needed to be outside in the Rickies comfortably.
