Ad Hoc Planning & Policy Initiatives

FOTY tirelessly advocates for land and water management policies that elevate the environmental and recreational integrity of the river. Whether it’s by reviewing a proposed project and commenting on the expected impacts to the river, building partnerships with local government officials, being an active member of various coalitions, endorsing state and federal bills that align with our mission, or empowering the public to make their voice heard, we are committed to being a watchdog for the Yampa River’s ecological health and the community’s safe, equitable access to this recreational treasure.
