Friends of the Yampa (FOTY) is seeking a Development Manager to help increase our impact in the Yampa River Watershed by leading fundraising and development efforts for our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to secure funding, cultivate donor relationships, pursue organizational program grants, write grant reports, and expand our financial resources to support our mission and programs.
This position is a full time (40-hours average) or part time (20-hours average per week) salaried employee, exempt position.

Location: Flexible with some office time required. Individuals will be expected to meet with the Executive Director weekly in-person; employee must be based in the Yampa Basin while employed.
Hours: This is an exempt position and will be salaried. Work hours will average 40-hours per week over the year and the schedule will be determined by the Executive Director. Work hours are flexible, but most time will be required during normal business hours to attend meetings and fulfill organizational needs. Some work hours will be expected on weekends and after normal business hours to attend meetings, meet fundraising goals, and participate in organizational needs. Some work hours will be expected on weekends and after normal business hours to attend meetings, meet program goals, participate in organizational events, and other needs as identified.
Although the preference of this position is to be full-time, we want to ensure this job is a possibility to great candidates.
Benefits are dependent on full-time or part-time employment designation.
Pay: $57,500-65,000/annually if full-time, part-time salary will be prorated based on full-time salary.
Benefits: Full-time employees receive a 401k plan with up to 3% match from the employer, health stipend, 80-hours initial vacation with growth plan, cellphone allowance, 48-hours of sick leave, 9 holidays, FMLA policy, raft fleet use, flex time, work computer, and flexible location.
Part-time employees receive a prorated amount of full-time benefits.
Equipment: Individual will be expected to have initial access to a personal computer, until work computer is provided, and reliable access to internet service when working from remote location.

Friends of the Yampa (FOTY) is seeking a Program & Office Assistant to help increase our impact in the Yampa River Watershed through assisting with our daily internal and program needs. This position is an entry-level position that will help with daily administrative and office assistant needs, greet and inform visitors, help with outreach events and river knowledge education, sell organizational merchandise, help with memberships, and other needs within our programs and community engagement. This position will support FOTY staff and have many opportunities to learn about watershed health and river recreation and would be great for anyone looking to explore their interests in rivers. A qualified individual will have a drive to learn, have great interpersonal skills, and be able to fulfill the position’s needs as laid out below.
Part time (20-hour weekly average), non-exempt, paid hourly.

This position must come to the FOTY office (Steamboat Springs, CO) or event/program location during all shifts. This position is also required to keep set regular hours. There is some flexibility in location and time at certain times which are addressed on a case-by-case basis.

Pay: $22-24 per hour depending on experience.
