Respect the Yampa and other River Users

IN-RIVER CONSTRUCTION BEGINS AGAIN 8.1.25
In-river construction is set to begin again on AUGUST 1, 2025. Please avoid the construction zone at the City diversion site/soon to be completed Craig River Park. River users are being asked to avoid floating between Pebble Beach and Loudy Simpson Park. Construction activities are planned for both the right and left banks within the construction zone. Additionally, no walk-in or drive-in traffic via the access road located off CR 184, as this is an active construction site.

Use caution when approaching the bridge over the Yampa on Colorado Highway 394 (Near Loudy-Simpson) at high flows.
Interpretive Translation of Flows
Dorsey to South Beach
This is a mostly flatwater stretch.

Below 250 cfs (ft3/s) = River use is not recommended.

Many times when the flow is this low, the water is too warm and/or fish habitat is very limited. Leave this flow for the fishes.

Recommended from Pebble to Loudy-Simpson for distance.

Not recommended, flows are too low.

Variable depending on water temperature.
600-1,000 cfs (ft3/s)

Not recommended.

Idea small craft conditions.

Possible but flows are low.

1,000-8,000 cfs (ft3/s)
